FRANK BY BASTA RESTAURANT ON KRASNAYA STREET | KRASNODAR

A play of textures, colors, and complex lighting drama—the interior of the Frank by Basta restaurant on Krasnodar's central street is spectacular.

The architectural narrative of a modern meat restaurant is expressed in the language of rough texture and bourgeois comfort. It is a two-story ode to meat, materialism and bold industrial design. The main character of the palette is the trademark red, which sounds in all registers in the interior: from the bold accents of ceramic tiles and chairs to the deeper undertones of sofas with soft cushions. The space is rhythmically outlined by concrete columns decorated with slatted panels. Together with the similar wall paneling, the warm contrast with the rough base creates tactile polyphony.

The "scenography" of the light from DavydovDesign studio is represented by the author’s lamps "Dot", "Cloud", "Line" and "Chaika". The glass-block-decorated bar is a pure reference to the aesthetics of American and Soviet architecture of the last century. Tables decorated with Corten steel and a ceiling decorated in places with metal plates of different textures complete the complex image.
