The gastronomic shawarma project is an example of how radical minimalism is rethinking street food.
Thanks to a non-standard approach to interior design for street food in St. Petersburg, a space has been created where the familiar name "shawarma" hides the atmosphere of a business hotel lobby. Even the most democratic gastronomic genre deserves impeccable aesthetic form.
The deliberate narrowing of the palette with beige and light green tones visually expands the modest square footage of the space and creates an intimate atmosphere.
Despite the limited space, the interior design manages to create three seating options for guests: at the bar counter, at tables with chairs, and by the windows on sofas. At the same time, every square meter of the space is designed to preserve a sense of personal space.
Wall panels, matte lamps reminiscent of sculptures, soft armchairs that make you want to linger longer than planned—all of this works to create a cohesive, premium image.
